Located in the Combe de Savoie, in Arbin, Domaine Genoux is the result of the work of several generations: the Genoux family already cultivated vines in the 13th century in the Abymes and settled in Arbin in the 20th century.

Attached to small yields and manual harvesting, the brothers André and Daniel Genoux have been living at Château de Mérande since 2001. They continue the family business there. After a detour into another profession, one in teaching and the other in nursing, André and Daniel are keen to perpetuate and develop the field while returning to the basics.

Engaged in biodynamics, this estate located in the Arbin cru offers a wide range of wines from the soils of the surrounding hillsides and glacial moraines. Mondeuse dominates production, occupying two-thirds of the vineyard area.

Seven hectares are reserved for the Mondeuse, some of which are over half a century old vines producing a limited quantity of a wine that expresses all the richness and typicity of Cru Arbin.
Two hectares are planted with Roussanne at the foot of the "Grand Blanc" rock, the other great terroir of Bergeron.
A hectare and a half, on the glacial moraines of Mérande, is planted in Altesse and produces the roussette de Savoie, the great white wine of Savoy; gamay, jacquère and persian share the remaining few dozen ares.
Since 2000, the vineyard has grown with the re-cultivation of former hillsides, among the most prestigious of the Cru, such as "Le Paradis" and "les Terrasses de Lourdens" and in a few years it has become the benchmark of the appellation.

The vinifications are now carried out using indigenous yeasts and without sulfur, often in the whole harvest.

The Latitude N45, La Noire, Le Comte Rouge and La Belle Romaine vintages brilliantly illustrate the current revival of the Savoyard vineyard and the immense potential of its emblematic red grape variety.

The estate deserves the attention of amateurs both for its elegant reds and for its particularly intense whites.
