The Chandon de Briailles estate is located in the famous Burgundy vineyard of the Côte de Beaune, between the three municipalities of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. The house and its gardens were built between 1690 and 1705. The house and its vines were bought in 1834 by Countess Chandon de Briailles (who had ties with the Champagne house of Moët et Chandon) and her husband Pierre Guillemot. It is now run by François de Nicolaÿ, who succeeded his mother, Nicole, in 2001.

Family property since 1834, Chandon de Briailles is one of the rare estates of this rank to have converted all of its 14 hectares to biodynamic cultivation without transition (in 2011).

François vinifies and ages his wines in the pure Burgundian tradition, respecting the terroir and the prestigious climates listed as World Heritage by Unesco: Pernand-Vergelesses “Les Vergelesses”, Savigny-les-Beaune “Aux Fourneaux”, Volnay “Caillerets ", Corton" Clos du Roy ", Corton-Charlemagne ... only great appellations of Burgundy. The Chandon de Briailles estate produces balanced, ripe wines with great tension. The wines are neither filtered nor fined, partly harvested in whole harvest. These wines can sometimes be confusing during their youth, but they reveal their expressiveness after a few years in the cellar. Aging gives them thanks and they then deploy all the complexity of the great floral and refined Pinots.

The wines, too rare, from this estate are found on the best tables in the world, between New York and Paris.
