The Château de Montpezat is located in Pézenas, in the heart of the Languedoc. Pézenas is distinguished by its history. Originally a Gallic town, then a Roman colony, in the Middle Ages the town became the commercial and cultural capital of the region. Molière and his famous theatre even gave his best performances here.
Since the 16th century, the Château de Montpezat has been spreading its vineyards in the heart of the Languedoc.
It has been in the same family for three generations, and it is now Christophe Blanc who runs the 30-hectare estate.
His wines have been produced using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods since 1988. Laurence and Christophe Blanc produce wine without the use of any synthetic chemical products, pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers. Yields are controlled. The sulphite content is well below the regulatory threshold.
Since 2009, the estate has been certified by Qualité France for organic farming.
