The vineyard of the Sarrat d'en Sol estate extends over five hectares a little way from the village of Tuchan.
It is a very chalky hillside terroir facing Mont Tauch (878m) and at the limit of the Roussillon vineyards.
The Fitou appellation is one of the oldest French appellations.
It produces wines with a generous, southern and rich profile.
Sarrat d'en Sol is a worthy representative of this renowned cru.
Grape varieties:
70% carignan, 20% grenache noir et 10% syrah
Tasting notes:
Deep ruby color. Complex nose with aromas of black fruits with elegant tannins. On the palate we find the powerful character of Carignan as well as a beautiful final freshness balancing the whole.
