La Quintinye Vermouth Royal is a French vermouth produced in the heart of the Charentais vineyards, an illustrious French terroir.
It takes its name from Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinye, a Charentais by birth, a visionary botanist and an exceptional gardener. A tribute to the excellence and memory of the man who created the famous Potager du Roy in the gardens of Versailles.
It was to this visionary gardener and botanist, born in 1624 in the Charente, that Louis XIV entrusted the creation of the vegetable and botanical gardens of the Château de Versailles. Nearly four centuries later, his bronze statue still stands in front of the masterpiece he left us: the famous Potager du Roy. La Quintinye Royal Vermouth fully shares the values of excellence and innovation embodied by this emblematic figure of the Charente region. The elegant bottle features a full-length portrait of Jean Baptiste de La Quintinye in front of his gardens.
Around the fleur de lys, the emblem of royalty, the label is illustrated with botanical plates in the style of those of the 16th century: the Armoise, essential to Vermouth, the Fleur de Vigne, the signature of our house, the Iris root and the Angelica, characteristic plants of the Charente.
Heir to a tradition of excellence and ancestral know-how. La Quintinye Vermouth Royal bears the stamp of the innovative oenologist and master distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet.
It is a vermouth with rich and opulent aromas, made from a unique blend of wines and Pineau des Charentes.
Composed of an extra dry, a white and a red, the La Quintinye Vermouth range is a blend of white wines, white or red Pineau and a total of 37 aromatic plants.
The subtle result of the marriage between noble wines and Pineau des Charentes. Elegant and refined on the palate, delighting and refreshing the taste buds. Crowned with a shimmering bouquet of natural aromas of spices and plants, La Quintinye enchants aperitifs and cocktails with its perfect alchemy.
