L'Unique, a gourmet cuvée made by the Pierre Usseglio family, well-known winemakers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
A wine made for lovers of fine Rhone Valley wines.
Made from sandy, silty and stony soils, this cuvée, which one might think is light, is in fact an aromatic explosion. The Usseglio family chose to completely de-stem the grapes before vinification, so as not to bring in too much tannin, but the blend chosen nevertheless makes it a serious wine.
Grape varieties :
40% grenache noir, 20% syrah, 20% mourvèdre, 15% marselan and 5% merlot.
Tasting notes:
An intense purple colour with slight purple nuances. On the nose, you will be seduced by its bouquet of black cherries and its pronounced notes of garrigue. The palate is ample and generous. The notes perceived on the nose can be felt from the first sip. This wine is concentrated and charming. This aromatic concentration will charm you.
