AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages is an appellation of the southern Côtes -du- Rhône is found on four departments: Ardèche , Drôme , Gard and Vaucluse.
It is divided into two : Côtes du Rhône Villages AOC regional . AOC Côtes du Rhône villages with common name . The choice of varieties. For red and rosé wines, grenache must represent at least 40 % of the plantings ( other than wine produced in the northern part based syrah ) .
