La seigneurie de Peyrat

Tradition blanc 2019

Pays d'Oc

France - Languedoc

La Seigneurie de Peyrat, formerly of Metairie Montplaisir, was probably a "villa" in the Gallo-Roman era. And even if we can still see today a vaulted room - adjoining the winery and in which were once stored drums - from the middle ages, the current buildings mostly date from the seventeenth century. The buildings rise in the hollow of a wooded valley and are arranged around two courtyards. From the sixteenth century, Metairie Montplaisir was converted into a castle buildings in the courtyards were dominated by four towers pierced with square mullioned windows.

The entrance gate of the court is topped with a high loft.
