2018 vintage

The brilliant Luca Gargano, through the Vélier distribution company, was the first ambassador of this pure Haitian brandy for cane juice, for which he fell in love! Since then, he has made known this very particular know-how, well beyond the Haitian borders. Clairin is made from pure sugar cane juice, like traditional French agricultural rum.

Faubert Casimir cultivates 50 ha of white and red Hawaii canes, soft non-hybrid canes, in Baradères. Each cane is harvested only when fully ripened. According to tradition, it adds lemongrass leaves, cinnamon and for some vintages ginger to the pure cane sugar during fermentation.

This clairin oscillates between classicism and unbridled exuberance. Extraordinary!
