Adrien Renoir is one of the most promising young winegrowers in Champagne. He develops cuvées focused on purity and tension.
Located in Verzy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the Renoir estate has been making champagnes for 4 generations. Passed down from father to son, the house is recognized for the high quality of its wines. The vineyard is located mainly in the commune of Verzy, one of the 17 villages classified as Grand Cru. The harvest is carried out by hand in order to follow the maturity of each plot and to guarantee high quality. The grapes are then pressed directly at the estate and the juices vinified in stainless steel vats. The wines are then aged in the cellar for several years before being marketed.
In 2015, Adrien joined the estate and decided to launch his own brand, Champagne Adrien Renoir.
He began to experiment with organic and biodynamic viticulture and officially launched into conversion in 2017.
The stainless steel vats are now replaced by oak barrels in which fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. Aging on lees for 11 months is then carried out, limiting interventions as much as possible (without fining or filtration).
