Recaredo is a historic estate in Catalonia. Producer of very high quality sparkling wines. Recaredo has always been synonymous with quality, praised for its virtues: deep, complex, silky, lively, elegant and long-keeping wines.

These are wines made with grapes only from their own vineyards, grown according to organic and biodynamic principles (both certified), without the addition of sugar (always Brut Nature) and which have been aged for a long time in the bottle, with a natural cork and manual disgorgement at room temperature without the need to freeze the neck of the bottle.
The cavas are always vintage wines that faithfully reflect the character of each harvest and whose date of disgorgement appears on the back label: a long and enviable list of virtues, the real reason for the greatness and excellence that shines through in each glass.

Recaredo Mata Figueres was born in 1878 in Sant Sadurní D'anoia. In 1924, his son Josep Mata Capellades began working in the world of cava and producing some bottles. He is the founder of Cavas Recaredo, a company that will always be known as "Can Recaredo". Josep Mata Capellades built the cellars in his own house, located in the historic centre of Sant Sadurní D'anoia. Some parts of the cellars have a history of more than 80 years and have always kept their original shape. It was Josep Mata Capellades who forged the identity of Recaredo, based on knowledge, professionalism and work. He paved the way for a characteristic style, pioneering the production of completely dry cavas, the Brut Nature cavas, the use of oak barrels and the extension of the ageing time of the cavas. The third generation is now in charge of Cavas Recaredo.

Cava Recaredo cultivates the vines with minimal intervention, always seeking the balance of the stock and respecting the environment to obtain the best expression from each harvest. No irrigation, no herbicides or insecticides, organic and natural fertilisers, harvesting entirely by hand.

The vineyards, located in the vicinity of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, cover 46 hectares at an altitude of between 180 and 300 metres and are spread over six estates: Cal Mota, Can Rossell, Pedra Blanca, Can Romeu, Moliner and Marçaneta, planted mainly with Xarel-lo and Maccabeu and, to a lesser extent, with parellada.

Recaredo is one of the founding estates of the "Corpinnat" collective brand. Corpinnat (contraction of the Catalan "nescut al cor del Penedes" = Cor-Pinnat = Born in the heart of the Penedès) is the brand of an association of six renowned winegrowers (Associació d'Elaboradors i Viticultors Corpinnat / AVEC) from Catalonia (currently 9 winegrowers) registered in 2017, launched in 2018, with the aim of promoting a sparkling wine, truly Catalan. Corpinnat is a quality designation of place and production, whereas DO Cava is only a production designation.
