The other vintages of:
It is through the 1991 vintage that the adventure begins for Rémi Jobard, taking over the estate that has been in the family since the 16th century.
Many changes will follow, Rémi drastically lowers yields, does all the work of the vine manually. He decided to lead the vines in organic farming in 2005 and better controlled the barrel farms. The estate represents 9 hectares of Chardonnay, spread over three 1st Crus: "Genevrières," "Poruzots" and "Charms" as well as on the famous places known as "Les Narvaux" and "Les Chevalières". In addition to this range, the estate also produces beautiful reds on the Monthélie appellation and in Volnay-Santenots 1st Cru.
Rémi Jobard is a lover of the terroir, which is why he decides to stop weedkillers and chemical treatments as early as 1998, so that his beautiful limestone hillsides can give their best expression. The harvest is carried out by the same team each year, the harvesters are experienced and do not hesitate to do a first sorting directly on the vine. Rémi makes it a point of honour to develop very pure vintages.
Apart from organic viticulture, winemaking is very little interventionist, the stockinger half-muids in 650-litre barrels of Austrian oak, bring very few aromas, but a beautiful structure.
Today the reputation of the Rémi Jobard estate is to produce wines with finesse, creaminess and minerality and above all able to age with race. With such a name, he could only make crazy wines! Thus, simple Burgundy is eaten as a "village", "village" as 1st vintages and 1st vintages as great vintages with good value for money.
