This estate, located in the Colli region of Abruzzo, has vineyards situated between 100 and 200 metres above sea level. It has been in the same family for three generations. Family Jasci (12 ha) is located in the Abruzzo region. Day temperatures are moderated by the proximity of the sea, while a cool air current coming down from the tops of Gran Sasso cools the nights. Gran Sasso is the southernmost glacier in Europe. Here, it is not uncommon to see the snowy relief during harvests.
Family Jasci is guided by wine passion since the 1960s. Giuseppe Jasci and his wife Maria, representing the second generation of wine growers, initiated organic farming in 1980, thus forming part of the first organically certified Italian wineries.
The vineyard of Jasci is planted with vines montepulciano, trebbiano, pecorino, chardonnay and cabernet, on a terroir of clay between 100 and 200 meters of altitude.
Nine wines constitute the Jasci : one rosé, three whites and five reds (including a passito).
Today, Donatello Jasci and his wife Piera are in charge of the field, and benefit from the support and experience of the previous generation.
