The estate was created on the family land of Géraldine Combes, a local child, daughter and granddaughter of winegrowers. Xavier Peyraud also comes from a winegrowing family, grandson of Lulu and Lucien Peyraud of the famous Domaine Tempier in Bandol.
Passionate and above all convinced of the potential of their terroirs, Géraldine and Xavier are part of the young people who launched themselves at the dawn of the 2000s and thus also wanted to contribute to the metamorphosis of Languedoc wines. The collective efforts of the winegrowers of this territory were rewarded by the recognition in 2014, of the Terrasses du Larzac as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).
Located about thirty kilometres north-west of Montpellier, in the medieval village of Puéchabon, a commune of the Great Site of France of the Gorges de l'Hérault, a stone's throw from Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the estate is set in a green setting, on the edge of the garrigue, in the heart of the Tererasses du Larzac PDO.
It consists of 9 hectares of vines in the Terrasses du Larzac PDO, Languedoc PDO and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert PGI.
The temperate area allows these discreet winemakers to produce balanced, straightforward red wines, always with a remarkable finesse of texture.
These qualities are found in the Chasseur des Brousses (Merlot and Grenache), as well as in the deeper Mas des Brousses (mostly Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache).
The mourvèdre grape variety finds here one of its most masterful expressions in Languedoc. It must be said that the vines planted here in the Terrasses du Larzac come from massal selections of the Domaine Tempier in Bandol.
Delicious from their youth, these wines are capable of evolving well, especially the confidential Mataro.

Mourvèdre is king in this plot-based cuvee! Mataro offers a deep, dense, textured and complex expression. This Mourvèdre on limestone gravel, complemented by Syrah...
